Fashionably Smart, Literally™ 2011-2012

This 2011-2012 school year GB will be teaming up with the American History High School of New Jersey.

Though we'll miss our previous FSL™ gals, we're excited to embark on a new year and hope to positively influence a new group of young women.  The young ladies whom are interested in participating are currently working on their essays, depicting what education means to them as young women.  We look forward to reading them and moving forward with the program.  We'll continue to post and share our projects and experiences as we've done in the past.

Fashion Fit - Style Tip .....December

Silk Dress – Available Spring 2012
We sometimes get caught up in current trends and lose sight of what's flattering for us.  Fit and flatter are extremely important, they're the make and break factors of a look that works.

When buying clothing,  your priority should be you first and the trend second.  I think we've all fallen victim to wearing something that didn't exactly accentuate our best attributes.  It is important to know your body and always keep in mind what has and hasn't worked in the past.  It's okay to play it safe and typically wear straight fit vs. flare because that's what flatters your figure the best.  Areas where you can experiment and spice up your look without compromising the fit could be fabric selection, color pallet and trimmings.

I say that to say, if it compliments you then make it yours and if it doesn't then its on to the next ;)
